Who are you?
I’m BinaryChaos(TV). I am a Canadian YouTube content creator and Twitch streamer. Just like many of you, I love to play video games. They have been a big part of my life, starting with the original Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) and the original Super Mario Bros. up to today, where I play a variety of titles and genres on multiple consoles. I love computers, multimedia, languages and teaching.
Is streaming your full-time job?
I wish? To be honest, I’m not sure whether I really want to make streaming a full-time career. As you may know, it is a difficult market to get into, and also requires some amount of luck. I always wonder if taking this full-time would decrease my love for streaming and/or gaming. Additionally, I also enjoy the financial stability of teaching, which I wouldn’t have if I streamed full-time. It’s not out of the question, but I’m not actively looking into it either.
So what is your current job?
I am a teacher. I studied Second Language Teaching and have a Master’s in Education. If you’re wondering why I went into education, here’s the short version: I like to interact with people and want to make a change in kids’ lives. Being a technological ‘nerd’, I eventually want to become a tech expert in the realm of education. In other words, educate teachers about the possibilities of using technology in the classroom. I have many other future projects in the works, including running my own web show. BinaryChaos.TV is one of those projects.
What is your favourite music?
I love all kinds music, except perhaps rap. However, I will listen to some rap if it’s a particular artist or a distinct style.
What is your favourite food?
I love all food. I am not a picky person, and absolutely love my vegetables like broccoli, asparagus and brussel sprouts. However, if I could live off of one dish for the rest of my life, I would have to say Phở, a type of Vietnamese soup.
Do you have a pet?
I do! I have a cat, and his name is Monty. He is a Siamese blue point, and he loves to eat, sleep and whine. Especially whine. You will likely see him on my stream from time to time. I got him when I was 17 years old.
